Message from the Principal Investigator
I am pleased to report that the Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has approved the "DBT-NER Institutional Biotech Hubs at NN Saikia College, Titabor, Jorhat, Assam (Phase II)" project for a duration of 3 years, starting from 1st February 2023.
Objectives
Biotech Hub, Nandanath Saikia College
1. Providing basic laboratory facilities and lab-based training to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students.
2. Conducting hands-on training programs and workshops for teachers and students from our institution and neighboring institutions.
3. Organizing outreach activities to train local farmers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders, creating new entrepreneurial opportunities.
4. Offering specialized training programs to enhance faculty skills.
5. Undertaking student-oriented research projects to foster research aptitude and scientific advancement.
6. Encouraging students and faculty to engage in active research and publish their findings in reputable national and international journals.
7. Holding awareness programs and popular lectures to promote a scientific temper among various stakeholders.
